“300 million Naira budget should have been used to fix hospitals and schools,” Simi says, criticizing INEC

Sensational Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, a Nigerian singer, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of irregularities during the recently concluded general elections.

The singer took to Twitter to address the nationwide issues of rigging and violence experienced by voters.

INEC, she believes, should have specified who they wanted to elect and used the budget to repair schools and hospitals instead.

Simi also chastised religious leaders who refused to condemn the crimes but instead prayed for the country.

She wrote; “300 billion naira budget for this joke of an election. @inecnigeria you might have as well given them back the money to fix some hospitals and schools and just used finger to point at the people you wanted to select.

Anybody that saw the disenfranchisement and didn’t condemn it better keep their prayers for Nigeria. She doesn’t need prayers from people like you.

The blatant rigging and nobody in power addressed it. Lol. Giant problem of Africa.”
