A Nigerian man has captured hearts online after sharing the extraordinary care and respect his wife has shown him throughout their marriage, and especially after moving to the United Kingdom.
Identified as @ndukaomoeifeo on X (formerly Twitter), the man revealed that he and his wife have been married for over 20 years. In a viral tweet, he recounted the selfless devotion she has consistently shown him.
“Since the day we got married, twenty years ago, she has never used any negative words on me. She has never raised her voice at me. She has washed my clothes for twenty years, bought all my clothes except my suits. When I was working in the bank, I have never had cold food since we got married. I had to force my way into the kitchen to cook,” he wrote.
But their bond deepened even further when his wife brought him to the UK. Single-handedly managing their bills, taking care of their daily needs, and maintaining the same unwavering respect for her husband, her love seemed to triple in intensity.
He shared another touching detail about their life abroad: “I told her I don’t want to go to Nigerian churches in the UK again. She said, ‘My husband, anywhere you go, I follow.’ The same respect, she teaches the children every day. When I quarrel with her, she uses everything to make peace.”
