20-year-old man was rescued from bandits in Zamfara

A 20-year-old man who was kidnapped on February 7th was rescued and reunited with his family in Zamfara State.

Police Tactical Operatives on a confidence-building/rescue mission along the Tsafe-Kucheri-Yankara road successfully rescued Abdulrahman Abubakar, a native of Kebbi State’s Gwandu Emirate, from the hands of bandits.

The 20-year-old man kidnapped on February 7th has been reunited with his family in Zamfara State.

The resident’s rescue is part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other related crimes in Zamfara State.

During the victim’s debriefing, he told the police that he was abducted in Gwandu by unidentified people on a motorcycle and taken to the forest, where he was held captive for three (3) days.

“The victim was taken to the Police clinic for a medical check and then released to his family,” said Mohammed Shehu, a police spokesman.
