According to a 14-year-old girl who was saved from sex trafficking in Ogun State’s Ifo Local Government Area, she used to have sex with 12 men every day.
Remember how on Wednesday, February 12, the Ogun State Amotekun Corps raided a camp in the Ifp local government area where young women were being trafficked for sex?
About fifteen suspected sex workers and their boss, Idem Joy, were reportedly taken into custody during the raid.
According to reports, the Ogun State Corps rescued prostitution-related women in Ifo who were between the ages of 12 and 39 at the Railway Line Hotel on the former bank road.
Among the items found were packs of tissue paper, lubricants, energy enhancers, condom cartons, a total of N819,600, and various kinds of drugs.
The 14-year-old survivor, who claims to be a JSS3 dropout, admitted during questioning that she was promised a job as a sales girl prior to her arrival in the state, but that once she arrived, she was forced into prostitution.
“They did not tell me that this is what I will be doing; they only told me that I would be a sales girl when I arrive. So I came with my friend, Glory, but she works at another hotel.
“On getting here, I was given some drugs to take before I started the work. She (Idem Joy) cut some hair from my head, saying whenever I run she would use my hair to kill me.
For some she took their pictures and others their blood,” she said
