A new controversy is brewing as businessman Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo, popularly known as Oil Money, has issued a strong demand for a ₦20 million refund from relationship expert Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO.
The situation comes amid ongoing backlash surrounding Blessing CEO’s claim that she is battling stage 4 cancer—a revelation that initially drew sympathy and financial support from the public. Notably, social media critic Martins Otse and influencer King Mitchy were among those who reportedly donated toward her treatment.
In an official statement shared via Instagram, Oil Money’s legal team demanded the immediate refund of ₦20 million allegedly given for her medical care. The statement also issued a 7-day ultimatum, warning that failure to comply could lead to legal action.
The legal representatives further requested proof of how the funds were used, insisting on confirmation of the payment within the stipulated timeframe.
The post’s caption did not hold back in tone, stating:
“Justice isn’t optional. Refund what’s owed… refund my 20 million naira asap before it’s too late for you.”
Meanwhile, Martins Otse has also publicly demanded a refund of his own donation, expressing doubts about the authenticity of Blessing CEO’s cancer diagnosis.
In a viral video, he stated:
“My money is in your account; when I am ready, you’ll refund it.”
The situation has sparked heated reactions online, with many Nigerians divided—some calling for transparency and accountability, while others urge caution until verifiable medical evidence is presented.
As the 7-day ultimatum ticks down, attention now shifts to whether Blessing CEO will respond with proof or proceed to refund the donations, as legal and public pressure continues to mount.
