A man who has been identified as a financial expert has voiced his concerns about the way that bread loaves are now sold in halves at supermarkets as a result of financial difficulties.
As per the man’s statement, the bread was being offered in half portions to enable those who are struggling financially to purchase the entire loaf.
The young man described the incident as painful and shameful on his Twitter page.
He wrote on X: “This is sachet bread, sold in 234.
“Omo, this is shameful and painful at the same time
“I commend the bakery for thinking outside the box. I weep for the eviscerated middle class.
“If bread is sold in slices and spaghetti in bundles, then the poverty smells like a two weeks dead goat in a beautiful mansion
“God help you because that’s where your only help will come from.”
