An assassin has reportedly been hired by a woman to kill her husband after he allegedly abandoned her and their kids and took a second wife.
The shocking event was made public in a post on the well-known social media site X, which was formerly Twitter.
The suspects can be seen giving their versions of events throughout the video that is attached to the post.
Reports state that although the crime occurred months ago, it was not until a thorough police investigation resulted in the suspects’ arrest and public parade that it was made public.
The alleged assassin, identified as Dolapo, explained his role in the crime. He said, “I just got out of prison around March this year. I had nowhere to go and was hanging around.”
“One day, this woman approached me and said she needed someone to punish her husband.”
“I asked her what he did, and she said they had been married for over 18 years, but the man recently married another woman and stopped taking care of her and the children. That’s why she wanted to punish him.”
He continued, “I asked her what kind of punishment she had in mind, and she said she wished he could die.”
After Dolapo’s confession, the woman also admitted to orchestrating her husband’s murder.
In her words: “I killed my husband because he offended me. I called Dolapo to kill him for me. When he returned, I called him again, and we did it.”
Since then, the post has provoked online indignation, with a large number of social media users pouring their opinions into the comment section.
