A man has described how a Nigerian who lived in Italy and bought a €400,000 house despite not having a steady job was arrested.
The man described the arrest’s circumstances in a video that was posted on TikTok.
He disclosed that the Nigerian had only been employed in Italy for eight months after moving there in 2016.
There were suspicions because he was able to purchase a home despite having little work experience.
Authorities arrested him after the purchase and began an investigation. Upon being questioned, he stated that his job provided the funds.
However, after reviewing his records, the police discovered he had only been employed for eight months since 2016.
Further investigations revealed that he was involved in internet fraud, commonly known as “Yahoo.”
The narrator stated: “He arrived in Italy in 2016, and after checking his employment records, authorities found that he had only worked for eight months.”
“He was arrested after buying a house worth €400,000. During interrogation, he insisted the money came from his job, but further checks exposed his fraudulent activities.”
