What we need is not to retreat but to work harder. The people who planned coups and leveraged themselves to power and then fought a war successfully to cement their hold on power could successfully marginalize you for obvious reasons of protecting their gains.
Would you also become a victim of their children under a free or democratic environment? Should you also make victims of your children by passing your victim mentality to them? We are no longer the victims of the Nigerian system. We have become the victims of ourselves. We have been conditioned to think like victims. We have lost contact without our glorious past. Some rogue elements have taken over the country. They are oppressing everyone regardless of ethnicity or religion.
How could we not but see that in one way or the other every other Nigerian from every other part of Nigeria is facing the same issues that we do? Of course, the rogues would deploy religion and ethnic bigotry.
However, you fail to see that they could also be the ones that are embedding in you the victim mentality to make you lose sight of the mighty force against them that you truly and really are. They know that you are the only one, with your spread and reach throughout the country, capable of galvanizing the rest of the people to take them out, if only you would see it and change your strategy of engagement with the country.
