A video of victims being treated on the floor outside the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) after a freak collision between a train and a BRT bus this morning in Lagos has gone viral.
A number of people were killed, and those who survived the accident, which happened in the early hours of Wednesday, March 9 along the Fajuyi Adekunle Way in the state’s Ikeja area, were severely injured and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency medical care.
Videos circulated online show hospital personnel laying foams in an open area and having some of the victims lie on the foams.
According to reports, the hospital was forced to take this step because there were not enough bed spaces in the facility to accommodate the victims.
