After O.B.O. revealed an upcoming song, Afrobeats superstar Wizkid incites tension among fans by revisiting his long-standing beef with fellow musician Davido.
When Davido told his fans to expect his upcoming single for the year on Nigeria’s Independence Day, tensions began to arise.
In a tweet, O.B.O wrote, “First single of the year loading 👀. Happy Independence Day 🇳🇬.”
Wizkid, however, dashed to the X platform in multiple posts to bash Davido’s upcoming single, stating, “Pussy boys dropping mids again! ❤️🦅.”
When Davido’s close friend Tycoone used the same platform to appear to provoke Wizkid by daring him to release his eagerly anticipated album—which is taking an eternity to complete—things got even more serious.
Tycoone’s tweet read: “Tell your daddy to drop na 😂,” a clear jab at Wizkid’s delayed project.
Wizzy responded without holding back, hitting his opponent several times. In fiery tweets. Wizkid dismissed any notion of a serious feud, but not without labelling Davido “wack” and “untalented.”
He further ridiculed the Timeless singer, stating: “I am don’t beef wack niggas. We all know he’s wack, no talent. 80 trash, we got 80 songs for any album you all drop. Una don tire? Make una go rest.”
Since then, Wizkid’s remarks have sparked a heated debate on social media among fans and users. While some are happy about the rekindled rivalry between the two legendary musicians, others are advocating for harmony between them.
