Manchester City 2-2 Arsenal: John Stones snatches draw as 10-man Gunners denied in furious finale

With a last-minute equalizer from John Stones, Manchester City defeated 10-man Arsenal 2-2 to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League.
Goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes cancelled out Erling Haaland’s 100th goal in a City shirt during a frantic opening 45 minutes at the Etihad Stadium.
Leandro Trossard was sent off for a second bookable offense for the Gunners in first-half stoppage time. The 10 men bravely hung on until the very end, when Stones sprinted home to steal a point.
After nine minutes, City launched an immediate attack and took the lead thanks to Haaland’s clever through pass from Savinho, who poked past David Raya.
Arsenal equalised against the run of play in the 22nd minute. Calafiori scored his first goal as a full Premier League player, curling a 25-yard blast into the top-left corner. Gabriel then completed the comeback, heading in Bukayo Saka’s corner at the far post.
But The Gunners were reduced to 10 men before the break, with Trossard shown a second yellow card after he was deemed to have kicked the ball away.
In an attempt to take advantage of their numerical advantage, City dominated the second half. However, it was not until the eighth minute of stoppage time that they managed to break through the resolute Arsenal defence, as Stones spectacularly equalized.
