Singer Korede Bello discusses his reasons for leaving his record label, Mavins Records, in an interview.
The singer of “Godwin” disclosed in a recent interview with Hip TV that he felt compelled to reassess his artistic and personal development, which prompted him to part ways with the label he was signed to from 2014 to 2021.
In his words:
“I was in a phase of my life where I needed to change, discover my value within, engage in self-reflection, gain a deeper understanding of meaning, and rediscover my purpose.
“Because I was at a point in my career where I felt like a product that Mavins Records was only using to make money.”
“When you chase after the next hit, after the next whatever it is that can lead to conversations, you lose sight of what really matters.” So a lot of artists are addicted to that circle.”
