Nollywood actress Nancy Isime dismisses criticism directed towards her upcoming film project from the Muslim community.
A few days ago, Nancy used Instagram to promote her new project. She posted pictures of herself holding a gun and donning a niqab, as well as one of her cast members in a scene where they were robbers. One of the cast members was wearing a hijab.
Nancy came under fire from the Muslim community for disdaining her faith and all that it entails. They gave an explanation of the niqab’s significance and voiced their displeasure with those who do not share their values and use religious clothing for nefarious purposes.
Nancy responded by sharing fresh pictures on Instagram along with statements emphasizing her devotion to peace and her own objectives.
She made it clear that she chooses peace over drama and rumors, and she does not bother or become bothered by other people.
In her words;
“Really out the way. In my own world. No drama, no gossip. Just goals and money. Peace is where I’m at.
“I don’t bother nobody & I’m not bothered by nobody. That’s my peace. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personally.
“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities and shortcomings, which they will then project back to you as a flaw. It’s a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.
