A Nigerian lady has gone viral on X after sharing why she blocked her best friend who had travelled abroad. According to her post, things took a turn after her friend left the country without informing her, muted her WhatsApp status, yet still expected her to remain actively involved in her life.
She explained that despite the distance and silence, she still posted a birthday message for her friend. However, things became more complicated when she later saw photos of the friend’s boyfriend on Instagram but chose not to ask questions.
The situation escalated when, a month later, her friend reportedly sent a wedding invitation and asked her to be a bridesmaid — even requesting that she buy her Ankara outfit. She said she simply agreed and then blocked her.
Her exact words:
“Few months later, she sent me her wedding invitation card and asked me to be one of her bridesmaid and buy the Ankara. I simply said OK and blocked her”.
