London-based Nigerian man’s ex-wife denies cheating allegations, vows legal action

The ex-wife of Ugo, a London-based Nigerian man who recently went viral for accusing her of infidelity, has publicly denied all allegations of cheating and announced plans to take legal action over what she described as defamation and online harassment.

In a statement shared on her official X account, she said she had endured months of emotional distress following the collapse of their marriage and rejected claims that she was ever unfaithful during their relationship.

According to her, after leaving the marriage, she faced pressure to return under claims that they were still “culturally married,” but choosing to move on allegedly triggered a coordinated smear campaign against her.

She stated that false accusations, alongside the circulation of her private photos and videos online, had caused severe emotional trauma.

“I never cheated on my former spouse, Ugo, at any time during our marriage. These claims are entirely fabricated,” she wrote.

She further revealed that her legal team would begin immediate legal proceedings against those behind the defamatory publications, stressing that she intends to protect her reputation, dignity, and well-being.

The woman also urged the public to disregard fake social media accounts impersonating her, noting that her recent statement was her only official response to the controversy.

Her statement has since fueled widespread reactions online, with many social media users divided over the unfolding marital dispute.
