A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has stirred conversations on social media after posting a private chat between himself and one of his students who confessed having a crush on him.
The viral exchange, shared on TikTok by @daddie.links, captured a conversation between the corps member, identified as Uncle Victor, and a student named Sharon.
In the chat, Sharon reached out to express her sadness over his upcoming Passing Out Parade (POP), noting that she would miss his presence in school. She went on to praise his teaching style, appearance, and personality, openly admitting her feelings.
“Good afternoon Uncle Victor.”
“Yes sir… it’s Sharon from SS3 B.”
“I’m fine sir. But sir, your POP is on Tuesday which is sad to know that you will be leaving us soon. I love how you teach us in class and I’m sorry to say this uncle Victor, I love how you use to dress and your cute smile, I’ve had a crush on you since you’ve been posted to our school.”
She further revealed that she had already informed her father about him, suggesting he could become her private tutor after his service year.
“I told my Dad I will be needing a private home teacher and I told him about you already. My Dad’s driver can be coming to pick you up always and drop you back home.”
In his response, the corps member handled the situation professionally, politely declining the offer while advising the student to focus on her academics.
“Appreciate you Sharon but I’m sorry I’ve got other tasks to fix up with life. So I will pass… make sure you face your studies. I will miss you all my amazing students.”
Despite his response, Sharon persisted, expressing her desire to see him before he leaves.
“I will miss you uncle Victor, can I take excuse from my Mom and let’s go out together before you leave or if I should come and greet you.”
