A Nigerian lady has stirred massive reactions online after sharing how a man she recently connected with on Instagram went all out to surprise her with expensive gifts.
The lady, identified by her X (formerly Twitter) handle @justmercy, revealed that less than two weeks after she began actively engaging with the man, he gifted her an iPhone 16—despite the fact that they are not officially dating.
According to her, the man had been in her Instagram DMs since last year, but she only started responding to him recently. Things, however, took a surprising turn when her iPhone 13 got damaged.
In search of a quick solution, she reached out to him using another phone.
“I was trying to figure out a plan B. I reached out to him using another phone, and without hesitation, he told me to go meet his phone plug in Ikeja,” she wrote.
Upon arriving at the phone accessories store, she was met with an unexpected shock.
“When I got there, the guy fixed my phone and then told me it had already been paid for. Plus, he said this same guy had already bought an iPhone 16 for me,” she added.
Even more surprising, the lady clarified that she has not yet accepted the man as her boyfriend, leaving many social media users both amazed and skeptical.
“I haven’t even accepted him as my boyfriend yet. Maybe there are still good guys out there after all,” she concluded.
The post has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising the man’s generosity while others questioned his intentions and advised caution.
