
A female entrepreneur has taken to social media to explain why she terminated her logistics manager’s employment for the second time, sparking widespread discussion online about leadership, empathy, and accountability.
The businesswoman, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @dimakillishi, revealed that she had previously dismissed the employee but later reinstated him following her mother’s intervention, choosing to give him another chance.
In her now-viral post, she explained that after not hearing from him for two weeks, she decided to call. During the conversation, she noticed his voice was unusually faint, which raised concern and prompted her to visit his residence.
On arrival, she found him extremely weak and nearly lifeless, a discovery that left her deeply shocked. Without hesitation, she rushed him to the hospital and paid for his medical treatment, despite the fact that his neighbors reportedly abandoned him during the ordeal.
After he recovered, the entrepreneur said she entrusted him with a customer delivery worth ₦550,000, to be taken to a park. She paid ₦6,000 as the delivery fee, but the logistics manager insisted on ₦10,000 instead. The situation escalated when he allegedly abandoned the customer’s package at the park.
Concerned about the delivery, the entrepreneur said she personally rushed to the park around 8:00 pm to retrieve the package herself. That incident, she noted, became her final straw and led to his immediate termination.
She further disclosed that the former employee still owed her ₦80,000, adding that her mother was fully aware and informed about the second termination.
Reflecting on the decision, she wrote:
“That was my breaking point. This is not wickedness, this is leadership. Empathy does not replace accountability, and chances must end where integrity stops.”
The post has since triggered mixed reactions online, with many praising her for setting firm boundaries, while others debated the balance between compassion and professional responsibility in leadership.
