Debo Adebayo, a well-known Nigerian comedian and social activist known as Mr Macaroni, has called out a Twitter user who mentioned him in a post about the N-Power fraud allegations.
Remember that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, confirmed on Wednesday that Nigerian singer Oladapo Oyebanji, popularly known as D’Banj, had submitted himself for investigation over allegations of fraud related to the N-Power Programme.
However, in response to the news of D’banj’s arrest, @ennyola0015 tweeted: “Imagine it was @mrmacaronii that was arrested for alleged N-Power fraud, not D’banj .
People could have said the government are after the opposing voices.”
The post, however, did not sit well with Mr Macaroni, who took to Twitter to express his displeasure, slamming the tweep.
“Why not imagine it was your father who was arrested?” he wrote.
“What would they say?”
“Because we’re all imagining.”
