A post on X has triggered intense debate after a user shared her discussion with a feminist who argued that women should stop giving birth due to the risks of pregnancy and delivery.
The thread, posted by @FindingSolace, detailed the conversation as follows:
“I was arguing with a feminist about childbirth. She said pregnancy and delivery are risky, and women should not be giving birth. No wahala.
“My greatest shock came when she proposed that women should start using surrogates. Wait! Are surrogates men or test tubes?🙄
“We obviously need to start another activism. Feminism demands equal rights with men. We need another campaign to demand equal rights with fellow women. Most of these feminists are mean to their fellow women.
“You don’t want to die giving birth, but you want to subject another woman to that fate.”
As of Monday, the post had attracted thousands of replies, quotes, and reposts, with many users criticising the suggestion that women use surrogates as inconsistent with concerns about the dangers of childbirth.

My issue is that it should be regulated so that people who do it get properly compensated and not taken advantage of because of poverty.”
Mr Man wrote: “Feminists just want the same perks men have without putting in the work. If given the opportunity they will the same thing they criticise men of doing.”
Prosthetist said: “Majority of Nigerian feminists became who they are because no man wants them. They don’t even understand what they are preaching.”
James wrote: “Most feminists I have seen are the dumbest set of people in the world confusing feminism with hate.”
