A building collapsed in the Ota-Ona neighborhood of Ikorodu, Lagos State, reportedly killing a number of people and injuring numerous others.
The tragic event was shared by a user going by the handle @ChuksEricE on the social media site X (formerly Twitter).
The post featured two videos that depicted the collapse’s aftermath and some of the people who died.es.A large group of people were seen in the videos frantically attempting to rescue victims who were buried beneath the debris.
One of the videos showed a victim being hauled out and taken away for immediate medical care.
As stated in the captions of the videos, the building collapse caused the deaths of multiple people.
Concerned people poured their shock and sympathies into the comment section as the news went viral on the internet.
